AMT Phases
Zambia
The first six weeks of the program, which we refer to as Phase 1, will be spent in Zambia, Africa on Rapid 14, our flagship international base. Rapid 14 serves the international team at large and is the launching point for all of our missionaries.

Middle East
To the rest of the world, the Middle East is a region known for destruction. Fear has clung to believers at the thought of bringing the Gospel into these intimidating nations. Yet, for those of us that have traveled into these unknown territories for the sake of the Gospel all we see is the love of God palpable and prevailing. His people are rising up. His Church is bring rebuilt. The hope of His glory is being restored. The only question is, "Will you go?".
What Are The Most Frequently Asked Questions?
We require all AMT students to complete both phases within the same AMT class. AMT is considered one 3 month training program with 2 phases that all students attend.
Yes! During your AMT there are three different week long expeditions where your class will specifically focus on reaching the lost. Outside of those three separate weeks, ministry happens in various ways, but you will primarily focus on your training curriculum to prepare to become a missionary with Overland.
Whether in Zambia during phase 1, or at one of our varying phase 2 country options, you will have a bed provided for you in a guest home on one of our bases. Sleeping arrangements will vary slightly depending on the country, but each base has incredible and comfortable facilities.
In the May and August AMT, there will be an option to spend a phase 2 in a different region of the World that Overland Missions is ministering in. The purpose of this is to give our mission training students an opportunity to get their feet on the ground in locations that they may want to become missionaries long term to. You could spend your second phase in a predominantly Muslim nation, on the Amazon river in South America, within the cities of Buddhist and Hindu nations, or at our international headquarters in Zambia, Africa. No matter where you choose you will find that our staff in every nation carry the same message and readiness to take the Gospel to the ends of the Earth.
Yes, children are a blessing to the ministry, not a burden. There are many families in Overland Missions and plenty of support to help you navigate being a family on the field.
During AMT, you will have the opportunity to sit down with senior leadership individually to discuss your passions and the current career options.
Yes! After graduation, we help you create a budget that will sustain you in the field and allow you to thrive for a lifetime of ministry. This all begins after AMT and MPD, where we will teach you how to raise up a team of financial partners that will walk alongside you during your career in missions.
