Get to Know South America
Our Beginnings
The vast remoteness of the Amazon jungle continues to be inhabited by the Ribeirinhos people that live far removed from the rest of the world. From the very beginning, we have led evangelistic expeditions on river boats, venturing deep into the Amazon estuaries. South America holds a special place in our founders' heritage having an ongoing presence in Brazil since 1973. Over the decades we have witnessed a powerful move of God that continues to burn passionately in the region though there is still much work to be done. Working closely with visionary local pastors, we have been at the forefront of spreading the Gospel to these remote people. Our teams in this region are growing, and we have high expectations for the enduring impact of God's fire for generations to come.

The Work at Hand
In South America, our teams travel deep into the jungle by boat along the tributaries of the Amazon River to share the Gospel and make disciples. We live among the people, hanging our hammocks in their homes and staying with families for weeks at a time. This shared life creates meaningful opportunities for discipleship and personal transformation. We have witnessed the Holy Spirit bring freedom from addiction and seen many experience healing, deliverance, and salvation. In 2026, we will move onto our newly completed base and send five short-term expeditions into new regions of Brazil and the neighboring nation of Peru. We will also host our first-ever Advanced Missions Training (AMT) and our second Overland Missions Training (OMT). Looking ahead, our vision is to launch full-time missionaries into new areas throughout Brazil and across South America.
